I don’t really have anything to say about this one. Just watch and enjoy.

First bike ride with Archer’s new seat
I bought a bicycle trailer about three months ago for Archer to ride in. It doubles as a jogging stroller so I’ve been taking him for walks in it. The original sling style seat doesn’t fit him very well so he doesn’t really enjoy riding in it so last night we picked up a used car seat to mount in the trailer. I added a bit more padding to the seat and he likes it much more than the stock one. The seat came with LATCH straps and clips that fit to the frame of the bike trailer really well so it’s like he’s riding around in a little roll cage. He had a blast on today’s ride. He has a great view and it’s very easy for me to see him. every time we went down a hill he would get a huge smile on his face. We only went about two miles today but we’ll try for more tomorrow.
I tracked the ride with the GPS on my iPhone. Here is a map of our ride:

More catch-up
This guess this weekend’s theme is “catch-up.” Here are some pictures I should have posted a while back.
From July: Cyn found these miniature bananas on sale at the grocery store and couldn’t pass them up. From his expression you can tell how serious he is about his food.
just being goofy after his bath:
showing off his new pants:
This was the last time Arch could wear his Tiger Tots onesie so we had to get a bunch of pics.
Better?
He’s doing much better today. He hasn’t had a temp over 99 all day. My MIL and FIL drove down to take care of everybody this afternoon. They let Cyn and I catch up on a bit of sleep and even fixed us all dinner. Yuuuum, burgers. Arch still doesn’t want to eat much solid food and was difficult to put to bed but he’s sound asleep now. Cyn really needs a good night’s sleep so I hope he’s back to his normal routine (knock on wood).
I’m still awake so I might as well catch up on some videos
I have a bunch of videos I never edited and posted, so here’s one of Arch and Silvio from July 14th.
This one is from the 15th of last month. Arch figured out how to turn the pages of his books. He even has the timing right.
… and another one.
Still sick…
Arch’s temp has been going up and down all day. We can tell he is still feeling pretty awful but he is sleeping better than I expected him to. He just passed 102. If it goes any higher I’m going to call the doc again.
Doctor Time
Arch was acting a little grumpy all morning. When he woke up from his second nap he was running a fever of 101.5. I ran him over to see Dr A.She said his lungs and ears were both clear so ot’s probably just a minor infection.
Update @ 1:30AM — He just woke up and felt really hot to me but his temp has actually dropped to 99.5. Cyn is in there now trying to nurse him back to sleep. It is really hard to take it when he’s crying and trying so hard to show us what is wrong.
Update @ 9:45AM — He is back to 98.9 and is in a much better mood.
He’s mobile
Archer is officially mobile. He started scooting on his belly a couple weeks ago but now he has figured out how to crawl. He does really well on carpet but there is some kind of magical barrier that keeps him off the hardwood. As soon as he figures out he can cross it I think we’re going to be in trouble. He can cross the basement and pull himself up on the side of the couch in the blink of an eye.

Orajel to the Rescue
Arch is cutting his two top teeth. Nobody had much sleep last night so it looks like it’s going to be a three cup morning. We need one of those Star Trek replicators so I wouldn’t have to wait for the coffee to brew. Cyn just gave him some baby Orajel he he chilled right out. Now he is back to his usual good-natured self and playing his new favorite game, pulling all of his toys out of the toy basket.
