Yesterday we found out that Obama is coming to Columbia. Cyn was itching to go but we didn’t really want to leave Arch with anybody since he is so picky about his bedtime routine. I decided to just stay home and she went with Matt, Aaron, and Amy. I think we should probably start varying his bedtime a bit so he doesn’t freak out so easily when we need to change it. He IS getting better but he still loves a predictable routine.

Arch was REALLY cranky. He is used to getting in a little bit of nursing before bed and didn’t like the idea of Mommy going anywhere before his bedtime. He wouldn’t even wave bye-bye when everybody left. Silvio and I were able to keep him distracted until dinner time but he was on the edge of losing it the whole time. Luckily dinner was easy, he enjoyed his bath, drank a full bottle, and then went right to sleep. Now I get some time alone to play some video games. Woohoo! Call of Duty here I come!

A couple weeks ago we drove to St Louis for the wedding of one of Cyn’s friends from school. We have officially confirmed that Archer doesn’t like to be in his car seat for more than about 45 minutes at a time. He settles in just fine but after a while gets frustrated when he can’t move around and play. We had plenty of time before the ceremony to feed him and get him calmed down after the drive. The ceremony was amazing and held in a plant-filled conservatory. Arch we terrific throughout the whole thing; he was quite, clapped at the appropriate times, and gave the photographers another willing subject. They took a ton of pictures of us and the videographer even came up to us after the ceremony to tell us what a great kid he is.
