Matt and Megan gave Arch his birthday present a little early. It took him about a day to warm up to the new zoo but now can’t leave it alone. I think the train may have been his favorite part of the St Louis Zoo, so he started setting up his Thomas train around his zoo.

Archer didn’t want to be a monster, super hero, fireman, or anything like that this year. A couple months ago he started asking if he could be a sea turtle. I don’t know if you have ever looked, but sea turtle costumes are hard to come by. I ended up making a turtle-shell-shaped pillow with elastic straps and Cyn found some green pants, a brown turtleneck, and made the belly plate. It didn’t turn out too bad and, as a bonus, it works as a handy pillow whenever Archer wants to lay down.
We went back to the Durham’s for their Halloween party and everybody had a great time. At the last minute Cyn threw a witch costume together while I, as usual, spent most of the night alternating between eating and taking pictures.
