Arch is cutting his two top teeth. Nobody had much sleep last night so it looks like it’s going to be a three cup morning. We need one of those Star Trek replicators so I wouldn’t have to wait for the coffee to brew. Cyn just gave him some baby Orajel he he chilled right out. Now he is back to his usual good-natured self and playing his new favorite game, pulling all of his toys out of the toy basket.

New stats:
18 pounds 10 ounces
28 inches long

We had our Parents as Teachers visit last night. Unlike last time Archer really wanted to show off. He was clapping, giving high-fives, and even took a couple steps on his own. Today he had his nine month well-baby checkup. He didn’t need any shots so it was really nice. His doctor basically just made over him for thirty minutes.

I finally broke down and bought an iPhone. I don’t know why I waited so long. I feel kind of dirty now that I own an Apple product after being a MicroX loyalist for so long. The best thing is that I can now blog right from my phone. I don’t have any excuses anymore. I should have updates all the time. The only problem I have found so far is that I can’t load images into the gallery yet. There is a new program out for the iPhone called PixelPipe that does this now

Sunday was our 6 year anniversary. It doesn’t seem like it has been anywhere near that long. It’s kind of lame but we went to Ruby Tuesdays for lunch. Os very Archer friendly side they will usually give us a booth in the corner and Arch loves snacking on stuff from the salad bar. Judging by his reaction to the menu I think what he really wanted was the Shrimp Celebration.

edit, re Cyn’s comment below: A couple weeks ago we left Arch with Cyn’s parents and spent the night in KC. We stayed at a really nice hotel downtown and had a great dinner out.

Archer is getting into the habit of babbling away whenever he is in a good mood. It’s very entertaining except when he’s eating and decides to spray prunes all over the place.

Of course he won. We already knew he is the cutest baby ever and now the whole world agrees. Or, at least one judge agrees but that’s good enough for me! Woohoo, free diapers! The first picture from that last post is the winner.

The last couple nights have been great. Archer slept through the night, only waking up a couple of times. He only needed to be calmed down once each time, until 4:30 this morning. For some reason he thought 4:30 was a perfectly reasonable time to wake up. He was up and ready to go and nothing we did could convince him it was still too early. His nap schedule was off quite a bit yesterday so we think that is what threw him off. I hope he naps today. I need some sleep.

Wow, last night went way too smoothly. Archers only woke up twice; at 12:30 which took three trips to get him back to sleep and at 4:30 when he nursed for about ten minutes and went right back to sleep. WooHoo! He slept for about nine and a half hours total last night. That’s how much he used to sleep in a whole day. I just laid him down for his morning nap and he went right to sleep. The book warns that he might start getting up earlier since he’s sleeping better and it is right. Arch was up at 6:30 this morning and was ready to go.
